What will Pinchanickel offer that is an industry leader????....Maybe you guys will now be able to afford a slice of pizza instead of a bag of potato chips. Don't settle for less than you deserve....heaven knows that the next negotiation session will also take five years as well providing those CR2's don't fall apart or out of the sky..... Hope they didn't wear you down like a lathe to a baseball bat. |

Vote no. Never take the first offer.

Everyone should mentally prepare themselves because this contract will not be industry leading and will not compare to the ASA contract. 75% DH pay, no rigs, no min-day-pay. Scheduling section not as good as Mesa. Chances are it will still get voted in, the senior CA's don't want any risk to their current QOL and the FO's just want to make more than $24.39 per hour, and rather not wait a year for everything to get renegotiated.

Congrats, hopefully it is worth your serious consideration.
If you guys pull off some good stuff in this climate, I'll be impressed. After having worked at one of the worst and one of the best regionals, I would comment that the importance of ENFORCEABLE workrules cannot be overemphasized. A dollar or two an hour or a few percentage points on the payscale are important but will really only buy a case of beer. QOL enhancements will have a tremendous impact on your outlook and enjoyment of life. And they may not cost the company much...they are probably not very efficient now because they can get away with it. |
