Default Deltanet XJ codeshare question

I was trying to book a flight SJC to DTW via SLC. the SJC-SLC leg is skywest delta connection. For some reason delta wouldn't let me book the flight because its a codeshare flight. Any Ideas why?

Not sure why it wouldn't let you create a booking. Yesterday I rode from SLC-SEA on Mesaba; booked it on TravelNet without any problem.

sometimes you need to revert to the respective DL or NW option to book that flight... Since skywest doesnt fly in NW colors u have to use the DL on travelnet, and if i was to fly on Mesaba sometimes I would need to book it via the NW option...

The XJ flying out of SLC for both Airlink and DCI flying. That ended up being a lifes saver due to the ability to use S2's when flights get full in and out of SLC.
