Republic 190 rumor

Its the same thing buddy. You are telling me its OK if mainline pilots are furloughed because of CRJ 200s but not OK if the same pilots are furloughed because of a 190? Makes perfect sense...

Carreer expectations.......? I am playing devils advocate here but weren't yx's expectations going forward prior to rah a big zero. the entire staff from ground crew to ceo should have been expecting to doll up their resume's. Maybe a more accurate word should be career entitlements?

What does that matter? What a way to try and win a debate. It's like answering a question with "because". What defines a route? A line between two points flown by an aircraft. As I'm sure you've heard before, size doesn't necessarily matter, in this case. A piece of metal flown by a different company is hurtling through the air that results in job loss for another. I have nothing against Skywest, just trying to point out that they and every other regional has encroached on traditional mainline flying. And what defines mainline? A whole different discussion. If it's 70 seaters, Skywest is equally as guilty as RAH. But for you to "win", I'm sure it's aircraft that seat 71 or more...

You and company are choosing to miss the point. Those routes are long GONE, they will forever be flown by regionals. There is nothing you can do about that. The NEW regional pandora's box that RAH has opened up is that they not only are going to replace routes but actually fly mainline airliners with regional pilots.

The whole point of capitalism is to maximize profits. Moving forward from deregulation, why is anybody surprised that wages are falling and more flying is being shifted to companies with lower overhead which operate increasingly larger aircraft? I suspect we would have seen the same hatred and petty bickering among ourselves when the first regionals were tapped to fly mainline routes. Alas, Al Gore had not invented the internet yet. . .

It is your fault for what has happen to Midwest. You have taken our jobs. We are using every legal way possible to get them back. If that means kicking your ass off an aircraft that is flying our routes with our name on it, than so be it. You people amaze me. How do you tell a donkey he is an ass when he thinks he is a Quarter horse?
