You wanna bet? We've hit an iceberg.... and it's just a matter of time before the damn thing splits in half and goes down faster than a catholic priest. Unfortunately, all the lifeboats have been used by senior "management" too.

That was my thought too. I'm not hating on paxhauler by any means but I am also getting kicked off this sinking ship too so I have a hard time believing that there will be a rescue boat in the horizon for myself and a lot of my colleagues.

No sense in denying the inevitable. It's reality. It's time we get a clue and accept the fact this company will not be around much longer, and that thousands of people will be out of work including some 1400 pilots (total I guess).

God how am I supposed to pay the mortgage? How am I even going to eat? I mean it's hard enough on Mesa pay, but I get by, albeit barely. I could lose everything. But you know what.... I won't though. Eff this company, and Eff those in upper management. I'll be better off one day than any of them ever hoped they could be. I'll be rich AND happy - something they'll never know. They can't get me down like this.... they aren't going to win.

and like so many others... you(personally) will be just fine. That whole last paragraph defines Mesa and the mentality that plagues all levels of MAG. The "me..me...me, "f" management..mentality that gets you nowhere but embarassed at the fact that no one really sympathizes with you.

Unless you're a 10+ year Captain, its not hard to beat ANY regional salary in the real world. If you have a College degree, even if its in aviation, you can find a job in management somewhere and easily make more than this garbage. Home Depot managers make $45k+....thats more than I make pulling gear.

It kills me when I see people at the Regional level ***** about not being able to pay bills if you're company goes under....all it takes is a little bit of effort and a good plan B, and you can make MORE than you do now.

Set a torch to all the Regionals and let'em burn.....

I sympathize. IT's original post does not cry "Me, Me, Me". It says, "I will make it through the tough times ahead". So you feel that MAG pilots are too hard on management? Interesting.

It is sad, but it also should be a lesson to the younger folks on the boards looking for future careers that being very selective about who you will work for is just as important as getting the flight time....

This is nothing more than a position move for when Mesa liquidates. Every Republic deal has resulted in a takeover.

I wish they would buy Mesa. Maybe they could do something and save it. You know it wouldn't be a half bad airline if someone put some time and effort into it. JO and Lotz just haven't put an investment into it, and look at how it turned out.

Well I'm sure Mesa would have been bought long ago when their stock was worth 5 cents, there's no interest in the company. It would be better for everyone if it goes away. I'm sure that if Mesa does survive even after the possible BK, then there would be a better chance of being bought.
