There is only aircraft locks. You are not locked into a base for 12 months. If you get SJU ATR, you could bid to MIA or DFW ATR on the next vacancy, subject to seniority.

so here's my question and i think i know the answer however...

if they recall 20 guys now and they go on the ATR...what happens if say they recall the remaining 51 right after...will all of those 51 go to the ATR ? or would there be another displacement bid? wouldn't that put the first 20 guys who went to the ATR back in training for the EMJ or the CRJ?

I'd expect to see some more ORD CRJ vacancies and some MIA/SJU vacancies given the projected increase in flights in those areas. But ppl are going to get a shot at where they want to be -- newly recalled or otherwise.

Unless you're in one of the CRJ classes. then you can only be displaced obviously. But recallees don't have a seat lock I don't think.

When I was recalled in 2003 I had to finish the remainder of my original seat lock. Originally hired to fly the EMB with a 12 month seat lock. I was furloughed after 4 months and recalled back to fly the Saab, which I had to fly for 8 months finishing a 12 month seat lock (4+8=12).

I hate to be the one asking but does anyone know (or cares to guess) if eagle recalls everyone, which I hope they do, will eagle keep their hiring pool? Or are they going to have everyone reapply and go through the interview process again? (assuming they will need to hire more ppl)

Don't know for sure. I don't think we even have a pool anymore.

Supposedly pool still exists but they are going to want ATP mins so if you are swimming and have the mins you will probibly be in the first class but if you don't have those mins you will sink. All hearsay.

According to CC about the hiring pool, there will be opportunities for those still interested in the company when hiring resumes. She was not definitive on whether or not there is still a pool. She says they still have all the files on those in the pool. Said to keep flying and update your hours. Also, she said no new hiring in 2010 according to AMR. When asked about the new jets and hiring she stated that no new hiring in 2010 and its subject to change or not. This was a month ago.

Clear as mud but at least there is recalls.

Cheers

Keep mind CC told me she had no clue about recalls till a about a hour before the calls went out. So we could be hiring next month with the way things work at AMR.
