I would strongly suggest to the furloughs at eagle to return. It is ok to defer initially but I would plan on coming back. The recent grievance ruling may have implications for you all. Since the arbitrator ruled flowthroughs should have been at AA years ago, that means no on should have ever been furloughed at eagle. There is discussion inside ALPA that furloughs may get a check for retro pay as part of the resolution which is going on now. This is only a rumor but I would hate for anyone to miss out.

Welcome back to the first 20, and for the rest- hang in there. Thank you to those pilots who have refrained from picking up extra flying. Lets keep it up until they are all back.

One of the BEST post/replies I have read ANYWHERE!!!! From a daddy daycare specialist, I wish my airline had more of your type!! "do it for me Sandy, I'd do it for you!"...flight of the intruder movie.

Congrats! to the 20 recalled.
Do you have to do initial training all over again?

THAT is something I'll believe when I see. Don't get me wrong, it would be great but we're still waiting for any form of progress whatsoever on the issue of the company failing to give sufficient notice prior to furlough, and that's just for the equivalent of a week's pay over a blatant contract violation...

Congrats to the Eagle recalls!!!!

and I agree, 10,000 or 250 hours...either way, were a long way from hiring...

All of us know the feeling about wanting to get hired on by an airline, however just keep busting out hours and get the flight time and we will hire within the year i believe. No one knows the mins and wont till they post the job. Lets just get all 71 guys/gals back online and worry about more later.

BTW: Everyone stop picking up open time. Ive never done it, im on rsv and need money BAD just like everyone else. We have guys on the street, stop picking up open time and things will change around here (yeah yeah, flame suit on after that last comment).

Here we go again. Try reading the 100 other posts on here about not picking up open time. Good luck with that.

I won't badmouth you one bit. I can honestly say that since we furloughed guys, I've only pick up an open trip once and it was to cover the time I dropped in a different part of the month. I would feel really bad about "padding my pockets" when some of my more junior co-workers are without work or worse (flipping burgers).
The more open trips out there, the more pilots we need to cover them. We are running out of pilots almost daily on the ATR and there aren't even that many trips in open time.
Just think that if 5 pilots each pick up one 3 or 4 day trip each, that is one whole line that a furloughed pilot could be flying. I mean no ill will toward those who choose to pick up OT, but come on guys, lets get all our people back on payroll as soon as we can!!!

Wouldn't they make more money flipping burgers.... if they spent the same number of hours at the burger joint as they do Time away from base, they'd probably do better flipping burgers and be home everynight with their family to boot....
