Default United Cancels 20 Mesa CRJs/Possible 10 700

http://atwonline.com/news/story.html?storyID=18446

Was just reading a blast mail from Air Transport World Online in my e-mail. United announced this morning that they are terminating the agreement with Mesa Air for 20 CRJ 200s with a decision on the termination of 10 CRJ 700s to come shortly. These aircraft are used primarily out of ORD and IAD.

This is in addition to the termination of the 10 Mesa Dash 8's flying for United that happened last week. 28 aircraft cancelled in a week with 10 more to be decided upon very soon. Wonder how J.O. is going to spin this one?

Looks like it is going to be a lot rougher seas for Mesa very soon.

I truly couldn't care less for J.O. and his band of a$$ clowns at corporate, but it looks like a bunch of great pilots at Mesa are about to be put on the streets if the jets and Dash 8's can't be placed with someone else.

Say whatever you will about Mesa. It is truly all deserved....but keep the Pilots, F/A's & other personnel that are affected in your thoughts.

This could be the TSA flying that is happening. Maybe.

You can add XJT retaining their UAL flying, ASA picking up 15 CR2's out of IAD, SKW bringing the E120 back into DEN and SKW's increase in block hours out of ORD to the mix.

I’m happy the storms are starting to finally rain on the JO Show but I truly feel for all the crewmembers and employees who will be effect by this.

Corrections:

UAL has terminated 26 mesa CRJ 200's.
No 700's are being terminated at this time.
There is a possibility that UAL will ADD 10 mesa CRJ 700's.

This has already been discussed in another thread:
