Default Mesa Cancels Pending Furloughs

Good news for Mesa pilots. A company memo just came out stating that Mesa is canceling the previously announced furlough of 150 pilots.

Nice to see a little good news amongst all the bad.

I saw that. Great news. Although they did say we are still fat and it doesn't prevent the furloughs happening after Chirstmas. Still it is a start. Now hopefully we can start meeting performance and making profit. The last thing I want is Mesa to go bankrupt cause it will just put me back several years in my career plan.

I guess they are going to get all the Comair flying once we go out of business.

Did you notice the memo said they would not furlough during the holidays? The memo said nothing about what their plans were after the holidays.

The memo does say that we will be fat for awhile which will result in line credit reductions and a lot of reserves, but it doesn't say that they may furlough after Christmas. The memo simply states the company has canceled the pending furloughs and that's all it says specifically regarding the furloughs. I highly doubt they'd cancel them and then re-instate them a few weeks later.

Ummm. the thread was started 10 min ago and I don't think he's privy to company wide memos.

Lets see more companies cancelling furloughs and recalling

I though Mesa owed Bombardier a massive payment due in January that they cannot pony up, is that true? Did they magically settle their lawsuits and pony up the cash for Bombardier?
