No, no, see you are trying to use logic. Logic does not work in this industry. You can get yourself into some real trouble trying to think like that in this biz.

On top of that, what about them being delisted on the market in a few more days? I would not hold my breath that the furloughs are not gonna happen...

i wouldn't think JO is doing something good for others...he's just keeping himself employed....Glad we don't have more brothers/sisters on the streets though...hold strong.

Good news for one regional is not necessarily good news for all. If Mesa went under that would be somewhat good news for many pilots and bad news for a relative handful. Not saying I'm cheering for it, just pointing out a different perspective held by many.

I can't count how many times I've heard from various airline crews while jumpseating:

ME: So how are you guys doin?
THEM: We'd probably be a lot better if Mesa would just die already. I know that our company is in talks with (insert United/Delta/Usair) for that (insert ORD/PHX/DEN/freedom) flying

I can see what you are saying becasue Im in the PSA pool. I would have been in a class a long time ago if Mesa would "die". I was just saying it was nice to hear good news at the regional level. I dont hate Mesa Pilots, I hate Jo and his time is coming in 2009.

I think everyone here would hate to see Mesa pilots hurting more than they already do. What we want to see is JO taken to the back of the wood shed and horse whipped.

I KNOW!!! Those poor Frontier pilots might get called back if that darn Southwest will just hurry up and "die".

Yeah, and I think Delta would be doing a lot better if that other airline would just go away. What is it called again? US Airways I think? [/sarcasm]

I think certain airlines would be doing a lot better if they had more to their business plan than hope someone else goes under.

Reminds me of the line from Gladiator:

Quintus: People should know when they are conquered.
Maximus: Would you, Quintus?... Would I?
