Southwest Management Should Read This

That's not what I heard. I heard we're 're-negotiating' our contract to fly EMB-190/195s for 'competitive' rates and will be getting contracts with Delta, American, United, AirTran and there are rumors about a Southwest feed. New F/Os will start at $15/hour but that low wage doesn't matter because upgrade will be quick, like 6 months. Oh, and mins have been lowered to 'student' and they'll take care of the rest in the sim. Lookin' great!

I don't know where you get all your doom and gloom. :D

If you want to work in an environment where fear and intimidation rule; where management style is dictated as opposed to a joint operation whereby all are free to communicate the needed changes to upper management in order to keep up with competition; where the CP has little to no experience in more than how to cheat on his wife, lie to his friends or belittle his employees, while attempting to spark fear into everyone that works around him, then consider AWAC home!
IF however, you value a little more than spending 100K to get your ratings, only to make $15/hr for 2+ years – then you might want to look elsewhere. But if that sounds good to you then you’re just the person we’ve been looking for. Hop aboard and join the ranks of intelligent people like Whisky. You too may someday make manager or even Chief Pilot….
And if your with Southwest or have any pull with any of their operations decisions – Welcome to the start of your decline! I mean this with the utmost respect to my fellow pilots that have grown sick and tired of the norm here at AWAC. It is management and the people that work in management that are bringing this company down. Allow them to join your ranks at your own risk!

I'm not sure if this was mentioned earlier since I didn't read through all of this, but I just heard that they had received over 1,100 applications for the 15 or so spots they are planning to fill. Although things may not be great here all the time, it puts things into perspective. It's nice to have a job in this economy, and I wish the best of luck to everyone who applied. I hope to see some of you on board at whiskey in the near future.

for those of you conspiracy theorists who doubt the CP has a type in our aircraft, check out the above link. Of course the FAA could be lying.

Hey everyone, thought I'd pass on my experience with AW. I'm furloughed NetJets and ex-Chautauqua, 4800tt 3500me. Had my resume walked in by a friend. Got called a couple weeks later for an interview, which was last week in ATW. Nice people overall, easy and short interview, about 15 minutes. During the interview they asked me if I'd resign my seniority at NetJets if offered the postion. I politely told them no and explained why in this volatile industry I am hesitant to give up future opportunities, etc. I got a rejection email today, so that must have been an issue for them. Oh well. I can't justify giving up recall rights at a job that pays 3-4x more per year to go work at a company who may or may not have a future past a few more years. Not to mention, in the company overview presentation, the phrase "we probably won't furlough again this fall" was used twice. How encouraging. Good luck to everyone else seeking a job there. They seem like nice people.

Good for you on being honest on the seniority issue. There is no way I would give up my NetJets number to come to Air Wisconsin. This place is a deadend you made the right choice.

Of course you could provide us all with his address since this site requires it...
But hey, I say let the conspiracy continue - it detracts from his other incapacities

Actually just put YOUR OWN information. After that you can pretty much search anyone by just putting in a last name. Or just admire your own certificate and medical records.

My application status said "submitted" for about a month, and then for the last few months has been "being reviewed". A couple friends received Thanks but no Thanks emails over a month ago. I have yet to hear either way. Any good thoughts about this or should I just accept that I'm lost in the mix? ;)
