ASA Furloughs/Skywest Hiring!?!
So I know this was brought this up a few times on other message boards, but I just wanted to get everyone's thoughts and maybe some speculation on Skywest talking about hiring applicants from a pool with ASA having over 100 pilots on the street..

The Comair thing is crazy, but I think the ASA SKW thing a bit different.

With the purchase of ASA in 2005, SkyWest, Inc. took a more active and important role as the owner of both companies. The publicly traded stock is SkyWest, Inc. stock and current SkyWest, Inc. shareholders will now be owners of both SkyWest Airlines and ASA. Operations will remain separate. Separate books are kept for each company, however, the financial public releases and SEC filings will be consolidated reports from the two airlines.
