I haven't had to commute for the last 1.5 yr as I am employed out of the US for now but GSO-LGA used to be fairly easy but always give you self at least one flight for backup and there are several Jetblue guys that do the same commute. This goes double for the winter season. I never really had a problem getting to LGA but going back to GSO was challenging a few times. I had to either go to Newark and ride on CO or go to CLT or RDU and rent a car to drive back to GSO. If you do have to rent car, make sure you book it on the internet first. I was burned once by Thrifty.

ORD is much tougher. Several UA guys live in GSO and a couple of times I got the j/s as that was the last seat open. Luckily for the times that the j/s was full I had a paid ticket.

Parking is not an issue anymore now that the Comair base is gone.

Parking is $150/year, don't know how LGA or ORD commutes are though.
