Yep, everyone is leaving. But that means fast upgrade times. And if you are looking for the all important turbine PIC, there may be no faster place to get it. Assuming that you can put up with the company long enough.

I have an interview with them soon and I am curious. Why do you say they are the worst? Why do you say they will be gone in 2 years ? I'd like you to back that up with some facts. Surely you must be mistaken...

Well, isn't getting that turbine PIC and moving on what it's all about? As as for them not being around in 2 years.... we can say that about almost any airline nowadays.

The pilots I've spoken with have no qualms with the airline, and think it's not that bad a place to work. But then again, patience is a virtue most pilots never really develop.

Thumbs down Yhea Right

Well if you get past the 50% failure rate as a newhire, so you can spend 5 years in the right seat. Quick upgrades think about the math, how many pilots are going to be ahead of you 500-600. Upgrades at less then 10 per month, and do not forget the 50% failure rate. How long for the quick upgrade???????

If you wonder why the Regional Industry is like it is - because you guys will work at the bottom of the industry - enjoy yourself!

Where do you get this 50% failure rate from?

Pinnacle is a regional airline. You are treated like it. Compared to the other regionals...I don't think it is any worse. The crews there are good folks; mgmt. is a group of *********s. I can only think of a few tools I had to fly with. I don't know the current failure rate, but if you study, learn, have a good attitude, and have some decent experience you will do fine. As for being there two years from now...who knows? Pinnacle is going through a lot of the same problems that many other airlines have went through. Some airlines are here today, some are not. NWA has a reputation for tough negotations, so who knows what is in store for the new contract. I just hope that the pilots UNITE and don't cave in!

I'm going to have to call B S on this one.... First off no the new hire failure rate is not 50% when I went through initial which granted was about a year and eight months ago out of the 28 of us only 2 of us did not make it to the line... Both washed in the sim portion of training... (bottom line if you work hard and put some effort into it, initial will be a cake walk, he!! I even had a lot of fun) As for CA upgrades we have two classes scheduled for August right now one on the 9th and one of the 28th between those two classes we have about 16 people upgrading.... The most junior guy in upgrade right now is about 770 seniority the last seniority list update showed us having 1207 pilots total. However that could increase if the company has need... As for 9E being the bottom well I used to be at Mesa and my life was way worse over there than it is here.... Finally yes attrition is up mainly guys going to Fedex, Jetbule, CO and other mainline carriers but no not eveyone is jumping ship thinking that this place is going down..... So hopefully this clears up some things and rumors about 9E
