Yes you get a pre-offer at the end. After the last interview you still go back to the holding room and wait. They come get you and take your fingerprints and starting faxing out your employment verification forms. You are not given a class date until you clear your background check, review board, etc. Hopefully i'll here back the end of this week about the review board decision. Then its a medical (hearing and drug screen) and they assign you a class.

Do they tell you at the interview if you get the job or not? Also how long between the interview and first day of training?

From 2 week to 2 months, depend in your paperwork and how desperate they are to fill classes.
Try to go to your previous employers and check if they sent the paperwork. FAA background should be out in a week. I have read your posts & U seem to be well versed in quite a few matters, so pls advise: 1) What kind of paperwork do they need from prev employers? 2) How far do they go, I mean, from employers from since the day I 1st started working or only aviation employers or from the ones in last 5 or 10 yrs.....?? My Previous aviation Employers are in India, My last aviation job was 12 yrs ago & I am returning to flying after a very long Gap. I don't know if my old employers are still there. Do U know If there is a certain form that needs to be signed, I can try to track my prev employers in India & try to get it from them. Or at least track the chief pilot & get a refernce letter from him. What should I do?? Pls advise.... |

If so does anyone know what the base/equipment openings? No, a new class starts next Monday. Please dont start asking what equipment and bases are going to be on the board. No one knows until the morning of, so just wait and see. There is probably going to be the Embraer in DFW, MIA and ORD. CRJ in ORD and LGA. ATR in DFW, MIA, SJU. Look at the prvious post to get the break down on how many. DFW usualy goes fast and there is usually only a couple of CRJ LGA to grab. Not trying to break any ones hopes on what is open, just gets old seeing posts 4 days before a class starts and all I read is what is going to be on the board. |

So much for the big announcement! Thought they would have worked out all of the verbiage by now. How hard is it to say "powned"?
