Nope it says they don't recommend to commute while you are "in probation". You don't want to get stuck somewhere the day before or same day you have RSV or an assignment.

I thought the 48 window for trip trading sept lines started on the 26th?

Nope, the 26 is for OT request, drops, rsv swaps and return days.

TTOT started today and will close tomorrow

It's recommended because you can get fired for anything while on probation. If you're late or miss a sign in you're screwed.

Not much of a commuter clause then.

That's not the clause. You get two attempts to make it to work, twice a year if you can prove that you did everything you could to make it to work. Anything after the two, its up to the CP.

Being on probation means exactly that...probation.

Isn't it 3 on a rolling 12 month lookback?

I used the commuter clause once while on probation...It didn't seem to be a big deal at all. I think it's like everything else and they just don't want it to become a pattern.

I know of guys on probation with missed assignments (one guy had 4 of them...only 1 stayed on his hi10) and called in sick several times that are still around. I think they are pretty desperate for pilots and it would take a lot for them to actually fire you...it all just seems like scare tactics to me.

Has anyone here received a class date recently? If so, what date did you receive? I have an interview coming up on 9/7. I'm trying to determine if it's still going to be possible to be in class before 10/11 if I receive an offer.
