Hey, I will be in the class either on sept. 12 or 26. Hope that helps...

it is possible, depending how quickly all of your files are received by eagle from your previous employers and background checks!

enjoy

I wouldn't be surprised if that date gets pushed back. So don't get too worried.

Can you explain this to me further? I just dont see the angle, but would love to hear why you think so? I mean this as an honest question, not a wise ass remark, I know the internet is hard at showing tone, but I honestly want to know why you think so.

I don't think is going to be pushed back. Is a letter of agreement of the contract that ALPA worked out and they said October 2011 in July 19. So is a grace period. They could said until July 20.

Im pretty sure it CANT be pushed back unless another LOA is signed between the parties.... Its unfortunate, but I think a lot of people are going to miss out because they cant be processed in time....

If you don't have to complete the ATP regional jet transition course then you may get a date as soon as your background check comes back. If you have less then 800/100, then you must attend the ATP course, which could add a total of 3 weeks or more to your wait time to get a class at Eagle.

If you interviewed in the lat few weeks and have more than 800/100, then you might start soon. I think they have a class beginning every other Monday?

Every two mondays, next one is the 29 of August.

This deal won't be changed, but there are rumors of some sort of similar program that would continue the pref hiring at AA for Eagle newhires beyond Oct. Apparently it has done wonders for our application pile and they want that to continue.

FWIW, it will take (many) years before anyone hired now would transfer to AA. You're much more likely to simply benefit from and enjoy the attrition off the top before going to another carrier via traditional methods.
