I didn't get anything either. I think he might be looking at the original offer for the LOA's since there were 50 offers. That would be awesome if 50 took it but I'm not getting my hopes up yet.

So still not clear are these loa's to negate the 50 furloughs or to mitigate future furloughs

I hope it's to negate the furloughs but it seems apparent that these furloughs are political so the company can increase the pressure on the Pilots! With no pilots flowing and the reduction of the ATR fleet (21 have been returned and 9 others will commence being returned to the lesson at a pace of one per month starting in May) it seems we are overstaffed by a few 100's not just 50!

Agreed 50 furloughs does not make much sense, surely there will be more when all is said and done I was under the impression that the loa's were to offset things in the future but then again what do I know

It's always easy to spot the high-fiver's. The other guys discuss relevant issues (like the furloughs above), but not you guys. You'd rather chase ghosts that don't exist.

Is it true there's a St. Patty's party at EL for the H5's today ? ;)

No HI6 here either. That last one for 50 was a list of what's available. It was supposed to be posted on Jetnet yesterday, but alas no results.

***Don't get me wrong, I love aviation, I love the flying I do, I love following the industry that I am still close to, but I would HATE being in the airline business.
If that doesn't make sense, you, my friend, have a case of SJS that will only be treated by embalming fluid. Everybody here at APC bitterly complains about the companies, the unions, the lack of progression, the being away all the time, the unfairness of things; but call'em on it and they band together defending everything they were just griping about mercilessly.

When pilot groups take 20%, 30% and even 50% pay and benefit cuts, then show up for work, what do you think management learns from it?

ALPA just sent out an email with the LOAs. They're effective April 1st. Pardon my ignorance, but is this offsetting the 50 furloughs?

So I noticed on the list they didn't get any of the 18 ORD CRJ CAs that they needed..what happens now? More displacements?
