I share the same thing, I've never had a problem with an AA flight attendant! I've always been treated with respect and courtesy. Might be that I treat them with respect and if I am out of uniform I let them know that I am an Eagle pilot and where I am sitting if they need any help, and if I ride in the J/S I thank them for the ride and the treatment since most of the time i've j/s I've been feed a first class meal or at least snack and drink. There are people out there who don't care about other but there are many more who if treated with respect they will return the favor!

PS: I've never had an issue with an AA guy treating me like crap because I am Eagle, but again I can hold a conversation with them that doesn't include me salivating over their jobs!

I have heard this rumor from several different mouths, and was wondering if any one on the property can shed any light on it. Is it true that AMR is putting up your flying for bid, starting as early as this May?

AA FA's have treated me and my wife well for 20 years. Its the paying passengers who I think so many of the AA FA's are sick of.

AMR managment announced a few weeks ago that they have sent RFP's for 50 seats and less feed, under current AA SCOPE this is all they are allowed to put up for bid!

New Eaglewire is out....

A few clips from it-

"So it is absolutely imperative that Eagle reduce its costs in order to compete aggressively and retain as much of American's regional business as possible."

"we have determined that Eagle must achieve $75 million in annual employee labor cost savings in order to ensure we are truly competitive and able to secure our financial future. "

"If we miss this opportunity to demonstrate that Eagle has fully competitive costs, it would provide American and AMR another reason to select other regional carriers to assume this responsibility and provide the feed we might otherwise provide. "

Pretty much what people have been saying. I love this industry....

Is that $75 million in annual labor cost savings in line with what was initially stated when it was first announced that Eagle would be divested last July? I can't remember what the original numbers were.
