Never said pay me better and I will comply. Another assumption on your part. Our pilot group, though it has had it's share of growing/shrinking pains, puts out a very good product. We want to be paid better because of our professional standards. When our company slammed us during negotiations and later a sham bankruptcy we held our ground and did our job to the highest standard. I'm proud to say I work for Mesaba because of my fellow co-workers.
Hear, Hear. Well put, XJSaab. I couldn't have said it better. I think that's the main reason many still say welcome aboard Mesaba Airlines. We work hard to put out a quality product on bahalf of Delta and we are proud of it.

God forbid there is a crash... But we all know the PR people for Delta will be the first to say that was a Delta-Connection flight and not an actual Delta flight. Kinda like how the whole Colgan thing played out in the press. At first everything was "Continental 3407", then as the days go by you finally saw that Contiental was actually trying to seperate themselves from this crash. It was now "Colgan 3407"

Really...who cares... make the stupid PA saying Delta..finish the trip.. go home and forget about it. Saying Delta or Delta Connection isnt gonna change the fact that we are paid and treated like crap.

I'm not sure you get the whole point of these message boards. Important/interesting to you or not, it's simply dissemination of information to fellow aviators. If you find a particular subject uninteresting/irrelevant, then just click the 'back' button.

Let's just say that the Delta MEC took this very seriously and expressed their view of it to senior management.

New memo came out today at Comair - Pilots are now "FORBIDDEN" from using the name Comair in ANY PA announcements. Effective immediately, the only approved name is "Delta Connection".

That's right, the word "Forbidden" was actually used.

In a memo. About speech. To professionals.

I guess "prohibited" was too soft, S.TF.U was too blue collar, and "outlawed" was too harsh?

Is this what you're referencing, acl?

1. D. 7. - Delta Connection flying aircraft will only bear the name “Delta” as part of a phrase referencing a Connection-type operation.
