There's nothing in my FOM that states that I can't say Delta Connection operated by Mesaba Airlines or just Mesaba Airlines. You have made too many assumptions tonight.

Never said pay me better and I will comply. Another assumption on your part. Our pilot group, though it has had it's share of growing/shrinking pains, puts out a very good product. We want to be paid better because of our professional standards. When our company slammed us during negotiations and later a sham bankruptcy we held our ground and did our job to the highest standard. I'm proud to say I work for Mesaba because of my fellow co-workers.

Delta might want to consider 14 CFR 257 before ordering Pinnacle or anybody else to mislead the public into thinking they are on "Delta" and not "Delta Connection".

On United Express carriers, they've recently changed the announcements the FA makes to say United Express, proudly operated by blah blah blah.

Proudly?

Anyhow, so this is a 180 from what Delta's doing. Delta's trying to strip the identity of the regional and United is trying to emphasize it. Makes sense. So if you guys keep passengers on your a/c for over 3 hours and someone wants to sue, I guess they get to sue Delta?

Dudes! I am not trying to be high and mighty here! I simply said I don't understand the logic in the thinking that I am reading here. Some have stated they will only comply with certain things their companies require of them if they were paid better, and the other guy said he won't say 'Delta flight' if his company tells him to because his paycheck says 'Mesaba'. Again, I simply asked if Mesaba indeed pays his check, shouldn't you follow their rules? ESPECIALLY if the rule is mandated by Delta, who pays Mesaba to do the flights! This is how I look at it. If you all want to do it your way, go right ahead. But the logic you use to have an excuse does not make sense to me!

Ding!Ding!Ding! If I work at a McDonald's franchise (a tempting thought...) my paycheck doesn't come from McDonald's, but they still require me to say, "Welcome to McDonald's. You want fries with that?" Or else I lose my better-than-first-year-FO-paying job.

Is this even legal? You're supposed to be able to clearly know who operates and owns the aircraft you're on. Thats why it has to be painted on the side of the plane, why the registration and airworthiness have to be displayed in view of the passengers, etc.

All that, and then clearly saying you're on another carrier (which is the most influential and noticed method of conveying the information to the passengers)... just seems illegal.

Apparently the MEC has informed the company of exactly this.

Yep, and PWA 1D-7 might have a little leverage too!
