Just call Colgan and tell them what schedule works for you and they will create a class that best fits your needs. Colgan is all about their employees and wanting to treat them like family.

Thanks guys. I was just looking for some type of time line, even if I did get some sarcasm. But I don't see what's wrong with Memphis. Even though it would be dirt cheap, the roommate might kill the mood a little. Seeing how my only job for the wedding is to plan the honeymoon, I think it would be a short marriage.

I was interviewed in early July. Got an email a couple weeks ago from Chuck that said those that were approved for hire would be assigned a class date early next week. Early next week with respect to that email has come and gone and I cannot get a response from HR nor can I get an HR person on the phone.

Joepa84... you got a phone call regarding a class date last Friday... and interviewed earlier this month??? Wonder what that means for me... must I be on the back up list or something?

cvltdriver, i also was interviewed early july and got a call from chuck this past tuesday (the 17th) for a september 7th saab class...FYI. i wouldn't expect more than a 2-3 week notice prior to your class date.

Did they give you a choice of aircraft? Q vs Saab? I know there are Mesaba guys/gals who are still waiting for a Q class over the Saab. I would call or email them a few more times. If no response, I would move on and keep applying. You might just find something much better in the meantime. Everything happens for a reason my friend!

Nothing regarding my aircraft preference was ever discussed. I suppose the Q400 would be kind of cool but I would not be disapointed to fly the Saab. They both have wings.

Anybody know why so many people are being hired in any case? And the age old question that has been on the internet so much... anybody know where the new Q400's are going?

Hiring because of the new Q400's coming on property between now and the beginning of next year.

Most new Q's are going to EWR and the rest haven't been decided yet, so anybodys guess on that. I would suspect that they all go the EWR for now and then summer or fall of next year they could move some to IAH. But who knows?

Latest word is that IAH is the spot for the remaining 9 Q's. This was confirmed by LK in IAH, she said the CAL rep told her this directly. However, until I see a Q in IAH I will not believe it.

That would help smooth some things over with a few red faced angry people that were ready to start a mutiny when announced they were going elsewhere!

I just want to see some more vacancy bids already. I see tons of new FO's running around and only a trickle of new Captains. I would hope for one new Captain for every new FO.
