The potential newhires should be asking themselves how a Mesaba/Colgan merger will affect the pace of upgrades...and is this a place you want to spend alot of time at slinging gear???

Looks like the only thing Colgan had to offer (relatively quick upgrades) is about to go away.

These are questions (along with what is the future of the company) that every applicant at every company should be asking. Unfortunately too many people only look for a job offer.

this question was asked of chuck colgan in a group setting at interview last week. his response was "he didnt know". However, he did tell the story of how Colgan first started out as a flight school. Their first solo "bounced three times and landed upside down"

Back in the day, management's mantra was "move the student," which evolved to "move the rig"

As a Mesaba furlough, that will probably get an offer to come to Colgan or Pinnacle, I have a quick question.

What are the junior bases for Colgan? If I agree to come on board to Colgan where whould I get based? It looks like IAH would be the best for commuting to me, but I don't know my chances at getting based there. It's a big part of the decision as to whether I come to Colgan or choose Pinnacle....or decline all together.

Any info would be great. Thanks.
