What's the deal with Skyway Airlines (midwest connect)??? APC says that they are hiring and their website doesn't show them hiring. I know their minimums used to be 750/50, but did they go up because they are losing the b1900s and just keeping the Dornairs? If anyone have any previous experience with them that could give me some info about the company that would be excellent.

no there isnt anyone in the pool that i know of, yes right now we are getting rid of the beechs, slowly. as of now resumes are being taken, but i dont know when or if we will be taking anyone, it all depends on people jumping ship. from what we've heard nothing has come back from those RFP's, yes we are the pilot group and last to know but unless midwest gets moving soon there wont be anything to replace the beechs so somethings gotta happen.

I have a close friend @ Skyway, and he says more or less the same things posted here. 1900's are history, all the beech pilots will be transitioned to the 328. Company is currently accepting resumes for future (?) hiring pool. Rumor has it that Skyway will be hiring for attrition sometime towards the end of the year. Mins have stayed the same (for now). All of us with Skyway in our sights are just going to have to take a "wait and see" approach. Hope this helps a bit.

Skyway BE 1900
I heard rumor from friend at Helena, MT FSDO that Big Sky Airlines (Mair Holdings) submitted to Midwest's RFP to fly the 50 seat RJ's. I am not sure of the specifics, but as I understand, MAIR is transferring planes to BSky who in turn will fly for Midwest. Mair apparently DOES NOT want to put $ into Mesaba. Not sure what all this means to those involved.

Big freaking hole in this one: what 50 seat RJs is MAIR going to transfer to Big Sky? BOTH of the CRJs that Mesaba currently operates? As I understand it, NWA owns those bad boys (anyone know for sure?) Or is bankrupt MAIR going to go on a shopping spree? Please, enlighten us "Ellen".
