SkyWest isn't going to merge with anyone-they will staple ala Southwest.

I love this. A thread about skywest and XJT cools off and before the smoke clears a new one is started.

Most likely, they will buy the assets from a disolved Comair or Mesa... pick and choose the right pilots based upon personality from each group.

If this post doesn't make somebody angry, I'll be shocked.
From what a pilot at Comair said, Skywest only wants the assets, not the people. It's just a rumor though. (regarding Comair)

Rumor has it, we will start interviewing in about two weeks, and we already have a bunch in the pool. Don't take this the wrong way, I'm not excited about taking anyone's airplanes.

We are REALLY short staffed and it's not going to get better with Delta, JetBlue, Air Tran, Allegiant and Virgin America hiring.

QX pilots seem to think they're next on the Skywest menu.
