Ahh you sure about that? I have a buddy based in IND.. he went from CHQ(IND) to Shuttle(IND).

From what I understand is they can only upgrade to another certificate. So fo's cannot jump between. Also when you move you a treated like a newhire on the certificate and have to go through indoc again, but I belive some of the stuff in abbreviated.
This is just from what I have heard from the Republic guys in MKE.

Pilots can jump under certain circumstances. FO's are seat locked, so they don't move unless there is a displacement. CAs can bid between certificates, but only to a higher paying airplane. There is also no bumping people. So CAs can only bid across for a vacancy. There are quite a few pilots who have worked on all three certs.

In 45 days, we'll all be in the same position we're in now. Save yourselves the trouble boys and girls: don't get your hopes up.

I'm afraid you maybe right. I gave up hope a long time ago.

Let's start the competition. Best one I'll give a starbucks gift card for.... how about $10... I'm just a 9E FO..

Okay, here's one to get the public on our side.

Your Bag: 25 Bucks!
Your Life: 47 Cents?

Explain that of the total ticket price, a pilot costs about 47 cents per hour, in some cases as low as 28 cents (Q400 first year FO).

Same at Mesa. In fact, when Freedom's 900s were drawn down the displaced pilots had to not only go through YV (Mesa Airlines) indoc again but they also had to go through the CRJ class again, even though they were typed on the CRJ. They weren't qualified to fly one on the YV certificate though. I think they managed to shorten the class a little bit.
