To mesaba and colgan pilots, this is usually right where pinnacle management comes out of nowhere with something that stalls negotiations. Last time it was dual qual.

Make sure the picketing signs say "Delta" and "Continental" in very large letters and "connection" in very small letters.

Press could have a field day with that. Higher ups at the mainlines won't like that at all and uncle phil might get slapped.

It wouldn't have anything to do with notices having gone out or not. The merger wasn't responsible for XJ's loss of the saabs. That was going to happen regardless of the merger.

And even if XJ does not actually add additional furloughs as 12 aircraft leave(jan 1-july 1), it just seems that that information has been distributed to each airline a little differently.

Interpret as you will, XJ MEC is taking the stance that there wlll be NO furloughs at XJ for 12 months regardless of how these talks end.

I don't think it matters. We are nearly half way through those 12 months anyway. Also in 2 more hours I will go from 10 days off a month to 11. I have also already spent my signing bonus so hurry up and cut me my check!!!

or that we bought Air El Toro, an operator in Northern Spain with 4 Caravans, and negotiations must stop because of this unforseen purchase.

If this doesn't happen today our Reps better unify the pilot groups for some sort of action. I know I speak for a lot of us out there when I say we are sick of waiting, and passed deadlines! We are ready for action!

The 2nd is a deadline. Once 5pm rolls around it's either a TA or we are back at the NMB. Picketing permits will be in hand for every hub on the 3rd. If the company wants to play hardball, we will keep them answering to the media and Delta.

HIGNEY85:

So where is the picketing going to be held at?
