Y'all gotta make up yer minds here! I'm hearing some people say Colgan is making money, and others say Colgan is losing money. Which one is it?
1.) The 'signing bonus' was/is only $10M because Pinnacle doesnt have the cash to pay ... because they bought Colgan...

2.) Colgan is now making money... the Qs are floating them a profit. WITHOUT THE Qs, COLGAN WAS A LAME DUCK...

get over it

Chuck Colgan... Why do you think he sold the airline. They were out of $.

Back when Colgan lost the AOL contract to ACA they almost shut the doors... AOL dumped Colgan because the operation was a total mess. It was an airline barely holding on and then Pinnacle Corp bought them and got the Q400s which saved Colgan.

Agreed. But they lost the contract due to aircraft size- at least that's what we all thought.

Part of that is true... AOL didnt mind the Saab, but many times AOL thought a Saab was going to show up at TEB and along came a 1900 with 25 PAX going back to IAD.
ACA had a better run operation and 2 FRJ's for AOL.

You remember CC and MF saying that if they lost the AOL contract Colgan would be doomed... well thankfully for the Colgan employee's Pinnacle Corp came along.

Thats what Im saying... Im not getting into whole Q thing and the Pinnacle pilots... that has been beat to death.
