The Mesaba contract states the pilots go with the planes, so Mesaba pilots would have to fly them until our lists are merged.

Except the planes are leased by Delta, so then Mesaba lease returns the airplanes and Pinnacle corp turns around and leases them back from Saab. In that case, the planes didn't come from Mesaba they came from Saab, so the pilots don't come with them. This is why everyone should be pushing for one list as soon as possible, there's always a way around an agreement if one party wants to look hard enough.

We need to start thinking more in terms of a single pilot group instead of Mesaba vs. Colgan. Mesaba will surely get opportunities to staff new flying (if new Saab flying is a reality).
