1. Internet scams. The mobility of your airline job will make it harder for authorities to track you via your IP address.
2. Programming / Web Design / Access Database development, etc. The possibilities are endless but you would need to invest in some training, have a knack for it, and get some experience somehow.
3. Web-based business. The possibilities are endless...buy wholesale surplus, resell at retail on ebay, etc.
4. IT services (network/server management). Small companies which cannot afford a full-time IT person might be OK with remote support. You can do routine admin and most troubleshooting remotely although HW/SW upgrades and HW repairs obviously require physical your presence. Again you need some training/experience.

I took up learning web design and graphics design. Went to a course for Adobe got some good insight. Pirated a copy of the whole Master Suite among other programs to practice with. Once I started making money I paid for the license bu there really is no need if you are just using it to learn. So long as I have a cool crew I can get away with doing some authoring on the flight deck. Small laptop makes things easy.

You might look at e-lance. sometimes it takes a while to get started as you have a better chance of getting a contract if you already have some proven output Same old drill - you need experience to get the job but you can't get experience because you don't have the job.
My sister ghost writes several blogs through e-lance as part of her income.
