I find it very hard to believe that an opposite-sex agent performed these pat-downs.

That link is from infowars.com. They're a bunch of conspiracy theory wackos! i.e. Chemtrails, 911 was an inside job, etc. They exist because they embellish and suckers (that think they're smarter than anyone else) fall for it because they seek identity.

One of the TSA goons approached me and told me in no uncertain terms that I needed to "Tone it down. This is not the place for this discussion". Obviously, not an outward threat of discipline but they are sensitive to what people say in the line.
Who cares what they're sensitive about. Like you said, so many of them are nothing but power hungry uneducated goons who think their cheap badges give them some form of authority. Wanna see one get mad? Don't let their stupid intimidation tactics work. Then they're the ones left feeling powerless and that IS their sensitive spot.

You weren't discussing SSI, you weren't talking or acting in a way that could possibly be construed as suspicious so that kid had no authority to tell you to stop discussing naked body scanners. Try explaining that to him using anything more than 5 letter words and you'd probably get a dumbfounded stare.

Maybe we need to get people standing outside the terminal, handing out flyers to inform passengers of their right to opt out.

That's what I'm saying!!! We need to get all of our unions involved to say the same thing the the AA pilots union did. We need to get all pilots on the same page, and then start helping passengers realize their rights too.

Unfortunately, I don't see ALPA National getting behind this and they may even actively discourage it because if the political implications and headaches for the TSA. I'm sure the TSA would just love another reason to drag their feet on or completely turn their back CrewPASS. Gotta love it

I will not go through one of these and I will not let my family go through them either. And If those jokes of malls cops grab my junk it sounds like a good way to file a sexual assault lawsuit.

Maybe we should get a bunch of pilots together in some sort of class action lawsuit for mass sexual harassment and infringement of personal rights. I'd be willing to testify or sign an affidavit saying that the TSA actively makes my workplace threatening, touches and looks at me in an unwanted and/or sexual manner and regularly interferes in the normal execution of my duties. Wonder how far we would get with that.
