Where were you based when you got the F letter? If you were STL based, then you are on your own unfortunately, both for the fingerprint day and the training as well.

Depends on what happens in the next few months but I would bet on VERY limited hiring within the next 12 months.

Not sure how many actually accepted recall now that it's gone mandatory but I'm betting we'll get through the whole list here shortly. After that it's anyone's guess.

From looks of it TSA won't be hiring any time soon. All the recalls(not all back) are just for attrition and it looks like they have enough to last another 12 months before they need more warm bodies.

Even if they get the 50'ish or so that they are looking for.... How many of those recalls are going to get current and jump ship to another more stable regional? I think they will have to hire more than they're planning just to keep up with the attrition on both ends of the seniority list.

You're right, I don't doubt that people are just trying to get current and move in a few months.

Latest rumor is another 14 upgrades in april/may... Unsubstantiated as of yet, but we're dying for any sort of good news over here.

Last time we were flying in an artificial market. Now with the fuel hedges and high ticket prices, reduced capacity basically all the planes full. I'm pretty sure it won't be as bad as last year even if oil does go to 150 again. But who knows.

Latest rumor I've heard from a couple of different sources over the past couple of days is there are somewhere in the neighborhood of 30 people still furloughed who haven't received a mandatory recall yet. The training department is looking for an additional 16 recalls. Possible hiring as early as July.

Again, this is all just rumors right now. I am only putting it out there so anybody who could be effected by a mandatory recall will have some info ahead of time to start trying to make a decision. Good luck everybody.

I just got a notice in my mail box today from USPS about a missed delivery; a letter sent Certified Mail from you know who. I have a strong feeling that it's my mandatory recall.

I always thought this would be an easy decision. However, I now find myself weighing both options....... again. Even though I already know what my answer will be.

It's scary that a lot of us are masochists and for the slightest second tell ourselves that it won't be that bad going back, even though all the evidence tells a different story.

Any word on the rumor that theyre going to open a MEZ base? Id imagine itll go pretty junior.

Yeah, I've heard 25 crews and that'll most likely be the MRJ base in the future.

how many more planes are you guys getting for airways. i saw 807 in LGA yesterday. is that at risk flying like the other airways stuff out of PIT?

I forget if its 2 or 3 additional airways planes. That will bring the number up to 5 or 6 total for Airways. Its really just breaking even though because we are just taking those planes off of the United side so once again no growth for us.
