So I heard that TSA is recalling for January. Any truth to that? Does anyone know specific numbers? Did any of you got the letter?

It's true. Letters were mailed yesterday. They're looking for 54 recalls with 16 upgrades with classes every Monday in January '11. More planned for later in the year...

Thats excellent news but unfortunately I'll believe it when I see those guys back on property...I seem to vaguely recall something like this happening last year...my memory is short, but it ain't that short

Now the tough decision comes for the guys that have been fortunate enough to find other jobs. Do they stay or go back. I'm in the same dilemma.

I'm pretty sure RZ was promoted to DO or something, he's still there.

Well, unfortunately getting released is purely false hope, so dont worry about that.

Im number 11, but 6 defered the recall last august. so I guess Im # 5.

On my recall leter it say's the chief is stuart scott, I dont know him.

2 years later. What have folks been doing this whole time?

I'm working a desk job these days. Making twice the money I was. I'm locked down until next Sept for logistical reasons, but it'll be interesting to see if this is worth going back to at that time. My recency will be fairly stale though, but not an insurmountable problem.

Could anyone that's gotten a letter post their original class date?

I played a real fun game of telephone last night, you know the game from when you were a kid. Several guys in my class (Feb 08) said they got letters, after asking a few questions it turned into "well I didn't actually get mine but this other guy who is junior to me got his so I know mine is coming"

Just trying to see how far down the letters are going..

Yeah, it was pretty crazy having Burt Reynolds AND Gary Busey in my class. I was so star struck the whole time :eek:

My buddy who was in the last hired class (April 08) got his letter today.

October 07, my letter should be in the box at home. Haven't checked it since Tuesday

Interesting......Two of my buddies and I are July 07 and have not received ours yet. Talk about being organized. The place hasn't changed at all.

Or maybe it's your post office.... relax, if junior people to you got theirs you'll get one too.

So how many are actually going to accept this one?

It comes certified, you will have to sign for it.
I just wish they would get back with me, I got my letter tuesday, accepted tuesday evening, and have not heard back since. I emailed the new chief, but may try to call tomarow.

I called Friday and his voice mail said he was going to be out of the office Wednesday until the end of the week. So we all should hear something Monday.
