Rumor is that only 34 people have accepted the voluntary recall. Sounds like there are still a few more that might have some time to reply but mandatory recalls are probably going to be going out in January or February.

I did find out the higher your senority the sooner your class will be, And you can not request a later class, I tryed.

I dont know the new chief, but when I talked to him he seemed kind of quiet and didnt volenteer any information unless asked, so if you call him make sure you have all the questions you want answered. I know in a previous chat someone said we would be based in stl during traing, but I did not ask, but if that is true I would imagin that after training we would be based in iad:(

EDIT: Anyone know where I could get phone numbers for flight managers/RZ anywhere? Looks like SS is taking off until the 20th.

You know I was trying to reach him for about 3weeks, so when he picked up I was to supprised to remember most questions I wanted to ask him. As for calling the flight managers, I would call scheduling and ask them for a number unless somebody out thier still has RZ number. 1800 fly twex. or email RZ he usually replys quite fast.

By the way.. if the rumors are true that they only got 30 or less than 54 to accept, shouldn't they have done a mandatory?

As far as I've been able to find out no one has any idea where the recalls will be based. Current rumor has it at some sort of split between IAD/STL. Currently there are 6 guys being displaced to STL from IAD in january.

Is there even enough flying in STL to justify displacing 6 from IAD let alone having more of us based there?

Not yet, but come March when all that new airways flying starts up, there probably will be.

Would one assume this week based on the people that have talked to SS on the phone. Convenient time for him to take a vacation though. It would be rough being in that first class date on 1/3 seeing how that gives you a little less than 3 weeks to quit your current job and all.

I hope I'm being serious... The literature they sent me said to call the Hilton to confirm my reservation, and when I did they knew nothing of what I was talking about. I then called TSA and she said she hadn't made the reservations yet...

From my rough math, I think I'm the most senior recall so I would assume that it's the first class. But I've been kept so far in the dark up to this point, I have no idea... I still haven't even gotten a recall letter! No joke. Found out about it on line and called.

I was also in the 5/7 class and was told unoffically I would be in the jan 3rd class. I do know for sure I was number 11 on the recall list, but 6 defered last time they recalled. So hopefully you are right and the first class will be on the 10th. I really wanted time to study before I went back.
