Oh come on. We KNOW Fox is the ONLY reliable news network in this country. The rest are so biased it's depressing. Of course there are conservative commentators, but their news is second to none and first class. Watch Fox, pay attention, watch some of the conservative commentators, like Glenn Beck, and I promise you'll start thinking differently.
FOX is one of the biggest reasons we have become a nation of sheep. It is a propaganda tool that rivals the great dictatorships of history. And as proof, if you attack Fox, their loyal supporters will come out in force against you. It is scary. Violently and aggressively silence all who disagree, and impose your way of thinking on them since it is the "majority" (hello Tea Parties).
We are right now on a parallel to where Nazi Germany was during Hitler's rise to power in so many ways. Think about it. Fox News is the voice of that movement.

I was listen on Saturday morning about the debate on the pay of TSA workers screening folks at the airport. I was outraged when I heard the starting salary for one is higher than the starting salary for commercial airline pilots. The comment was made they are the front line against terrorists, well the pilots are the final line and your everyday safety in the air. Starting pay for pilots vary among airlines, but are from $15 to $25 a flight hour with some guaranteeing 72 house per month. So to take the best 25 x 72 x 12 = ~$22K per year not the $26K as was quoted for the TSA workers.
Look in the cockpit the next time you take a commuter airplane somewhere and the person on the right (first officer) is getting paid less than the person that screened you. Their education, background checks and training is far more rigorous than the TSA person.
You need to do a story on pilot pay and how the government is raising the minimum flight hours to get hired to over 1500. Where does one get 1500 flight hours. If you go to college and get a degree in aviation (pro pilot). You will get about 500 hours out of the program at ~$100 per hour. That's $50K then you have to get the extra 1000 hours from somewhere else. Your talking over $100K to be able to start for an airline. How much education is required for a TSA screener?

It's funny you want to talk about Nazi's and Hitler... because that's exactly where this country is heading.
I'm a tea partier - and I'm not a Nazi or some crazy person. I want our government to be limited in size, and I want them out of our business. The Tea Party movement is an extremely patriotic movement, yet the left paints us as radicals. Go to a tea party. Come with me, or contact me, I'll send you pictures of the last one I was at. You'd be surprised. People of all walks of life.
And now the TSA wants to be unionized. Great. Just great. Wonder if they'll get another pay raise and probably end up with better benefits than we have.

I'm not jumping into the Fox News debate here. Just like to comment on this. TSA employees are government employees with government benefits. As pilots, our benefits will never ever come close to matching the benefits TSA employees get from day one. Carry on.

Do you know anyone who has been violently and aggressively silenced because they attacked Fox News? Perhaps that was a bit of hyperbole to make a point.
When you say 'right wing hate' just what are you talking about? Is it right wing hate to report that ACORN is involved in illegal activities as documented on unedited videotape? Maybe you consider the reporting that Josef Stalin starved millions of Ukrainians right wing hate, since Stalin was a progressive and working for the good of humanity...
Is it your strategy to intentionally blur the line between commentary (Beck, O'Reilly, Hannity et al) and news (Kelly, Smith, Faulkner, Hemmer et al)? If so, is that an honest way to present your argument?
My opinion is that many of Fox's detractors can't dispute the accuracy of what Fox reports, so they are reduced to attacking the people that watch Fox News (and there are a lot of them) . Sheep. Nazis. Propagandists. The voice of the new Nazi movement.
I think that what has happened is that for many years the legacy media (led by the New York Times) held sway with being able to present all of the news that "they" thought you needed to know. That has all changed with the beginning of the information age. Legacy media is dying, and their supporters are frustrated that people are now able to hear news that doesn't fit with the progressive narrative.
It is my opinion that you or anyone else can watch Fox News and make up your own mind.

Note to self, never include the words "Fox News" in any kind of statement (wait, I just did). The blind rage of the Fox-hating readers will ignore the entire purpose of the post. My comment will likely get the same reaction because of those incendiary words up there...
I find it funny that pilots argue endlessly "pay us more and you'll get better quality," which is entirely true, but then laugh at the idea that TSA will improve with better pay. Put your personal agendas aside for a moment and think about it. If TSA agents are paid more, the quality would most certainly improve. And if the government actually trimmed it down and made it efficient (I know, asking way too much of the government) then quality would improve even more. Whether or not the current agents are deserving of that pay is entirely beside the point.
Can't compare TSA pay with pilot pay. Government work vs. market driven. Two separate arguments.

On the contrary. I watch Fox News so I can call somebody out when they regurgitate the garbage spewed from the mouths of the self proclaimed entertainers you've mentioned. I don't have a problem with people who watch certain programs, I have a problem with ignorance.
