The vast majority of CJC pilots support the pickets regardless of the fast read. Just ask around, they'll tell you.

We have been underpaid since the inception of the Q400 program all because "you have a union now, we can't raise your pay". We are so f'ng ****ed off at our managers that many are ready to burn the fu'er down. anything that puts a bad light on those devil's at nonconnah makes us very happy. Loved the Rat a few years ago. I hate those people with a passion.

They f*ck everyone over: the passengers, the code share partners, the faa, the employees, the industry in general. the only ones they do right by are themselves at bonus time. they are whats wrong with america and until we grow the chutzpah to fight back, we are part of the problem.

phew, feel better now.

Quote: What Unity?!? 9L and XJ just left 9E on their own because we're supposedly "close" to a contract??? Divide and conquer...management's oldest tool.

Our MEC's credibility is on the line with this one...they claim there's a good chance we'll have a TA by the end of the week. And if there isn't...well, fool me once...
If you want to use the divide and conquer analogy, which group broke ranks on this one?

The ones acting emotionally are the ones being played.

Quote: I feel like Pinnacle is the guy at the party that gets drunk too quick and wants to fight everybody. Mesaba and Colgan are the best friends who have to hold him back (obviously turboprop drivers hold their liquor better). However if the Pinnacle drunk guy ever lands a lucky punch on someone, we (Mesaba and Colgan) would have to back him up in the brawl.
your analogy fails to mention that the guy we want to fight and kick their arses is the bully that has been beating us up for the past 6 years of high school (yes i failed twice ) and you for the past 2 years.....and if you don't want to help us in that easy 3 good guys against 1 bully well tough poopoo when the bully sees he better not mess with me and instead slams you up against the lockers next week...see who comes running to your aid...

When the fight starts mooney, we'll be in it, don't doubt that for a second.

Right now it's just an (informational) yelling match.

Going to use an LOA from 14 years ago to help Express pilots to take our planes and put us on the bottom of the list.

Accusing us of being pushovers because we weren't in negotiations for 6 years.

Telling your pilots that there is nothing we will do if the company starts shifting planes without an agreement.

Sending pm's to people saying you want the joint contract to fail because then you can take the seats and basing. Then put us on the bottom of the list.

We say now isn't the right time to picket because there is progress and WE are the problem.

yeah, right...

Quote: If anyone should be walking the line with us its Colgan.
I'm confused, you guys are on strike and there is a line to walk? Or you are having an informal informational 3 hour sign holding session? I think you are blowing this way out of proportion.

I really dont understand why everyone is upset that we dont have a contract in only a few months.

The JNC is making progress. With every update it seems we are getting a bit closer.

I think everyone that is upset with Pinnacle management because of the Pinnacle 6 year debacle needs to take a step back realise that our fight to get a joint contract has only been going for a few months, not 6 years.

Picketing is not in order and I 100% agree with the XJ and 9L MEC decision to not join 9E.

If the XJ pilots could see how the company is trying to reduce your pay I promise you would be out on the line with us today! Why do you think they havn't TA'd that section yet?? Yet you guys are expecting some sort of a RAISE? HAHA not gonna happen. I understand that many pilots at other carriers will never understand our frustration. We don't expect you to and WE CERTAINLY DO NOT WANT YOU PITY! However we will all be damned if we continue to sit and be patient while OUR S*HITTY management tells us "We are really close this time guys but your MEC keeps moving the goalposts" please!! Just when you think a deal is settled out comes the "dual qual" or "insurance" or "insert your next" card allowing for no deal. This is the uncertain way our management does their business, and it is unfortunate. We are picketing to show our management that they can keep making deadlines, keep making promises, and keep holding us back. We see through the smoke, and we wish our fellow pilots did also!
