Would this imply Mesaba opening an LGA base?

This is official. It's on the Mesaba Airlines internal website. Getting back 7 SAAB's painted up in USAir colors.

They are recruiting mechanics and FA's. I am not certain of the LGA base. I don't remember.

I dont work for Mesaba (I dont think, or at least yet...) so I wont post your internal memo but here was a snippet from it.

We will also establish a crew domicile at LGA for flight crews

On our online preference bid for bases and seats LGA Capt and FO is already on there... so i guess they're pretty serious about this, LOL

Mesaba has been jma saab captains/fo's every day this month and I've heard of 900/200 guys as well

I am sure there are some Xj pilots from MSP, MEM or DTW that are looking forward to you bidding LGA as well so they dont get displaced from their bases and have to commute to LGA. I would imagine though that there must be at least a handful of Mesaba pilots who live in the NY area who are looking forward to this.

At least you may eventually have the option to bid it...hold it, thats another thing.

XJ displacement rights allow us to bid anything our seniority will hold if displaced from a base, I heard the TA has the same provision.
