Q400 Headset Plug In
#11
Getting ready to purchase a new TSO'd headset for the Q400. I was thinking of purchasing the Bose A20 but didn't know if I should purchase the battery powered twin plug or the aircraft powered 6 pin connector. Does anybody know what Horizon's Q400 have? Also, is this a good choice of headset for the noisy turboprop? I want good noise cancelling. Thanks!
Twin plug. If you decide they are not working out sell them to me. The old DC's just hurt after working 7 legs.

I used the Telex 850s and they were perfect, a little noisy if the side vents were not positioned right but otherwise they were great.
Unfortunately Telex headsets tend to have a lot of background noise from their mics so if you are flying with someone that has a set of head clamps then they will get some background noise whenever your hot mic is on. Instantly noticeable and annoying on the CRJ but it will take them a little longer to notice on the Q400.
