That was funny. Is that our new APC Sitcom? A skit should be done on crew room interactions.

Considdering it was titled toward an audience of wanna-be's I wish they would have gone with a regional FO instead of a major captain.

Sorry, guys but I have a hard time laughing at this. Although parts of it ARE funny and I know it was meant to be a joke, the sheer reality of it is, well.....depressing. It just hots home in a big way for most of us.

Most of it was about pay, which is the most depressing part of this industry. I'm one of the 9E/9L/XJ guys and all I could think about during part about duty vs "work" was the TA and how there's a complete lack of trip and duty rigs in it. This video is especially depressing for me because a duty rig could fix the embarrassing reality many of us face every day. I would find it difficult to call our new TA "industry leading" without trip and duty rigs, and the fact that it's not in there is just simply embarrassing just as this video is for our so called "profession".

Sorry to spoil the fun and be the guy who has a hard time laughing at this, but it really does say something very real about us. Am I the only one? I guess if you can't have a chuckle about it then it would be a pretty sad existence, and I did, but most of it was all to realistic to laugh at.

Good vid though, especially if you'd like to share with the rest of the world the truth about our jobs. It should be shared with others.

I don't think it is meant to be a joke or funny. It is aimed at those visiting this board that are not yet indentured servants of the 121 industry.

Share this with all of the starry eyed CFI's you know and help educate those who still believe the marketing brochures from the flight schools about the reality of the industry.

The regionals are no longer a stepping stone and should not be paid or treated that way.
