You can bet on ORD. However, the recent arbitration ruling has reduced the amount of aircraft that were going to support ORD/IAD/DEN UAX operations. Therefore not as many crews needed in ORD as originally thought. But not really sure.

There's enough people that thought they were going to be displaced from IAH, and a lesser extent EWR that will now probably stay in those bases.

I'd venture to say that ORD is a safe bet.

By the end of the year ExpressJet will be Atlantic Southeast. I wouldn't worry which side you get assigned to. The new ASA is going to be gigantic and definitely one of the premier regionals in the country.

It may still be a while before anyone is allowed to transfer between operations voluntarily though.

Just to add to what has already been said, they cannot assign you consecutive days of ASB, or on the last day of your block of reserve days, or more than 6 times in a bid month. You are automatically released at 1800 on the last day of a block of reserve days. Reserves also have the ability to trade reserve days, pick up trips a day before a block of reserve days that is the same length as the amount of reserve days you have. They can also pick up trips on days off when the red flag is up for add pay and premium (with some restrictions). And, you do not have to call crew scheduling to get released after your trip is done.

Do you think ASA will be adopting these rules with the merger?

We are in joint collective bargaining proceedings to reach a new contract. We're burned out and tired and looking for big improvements across the board. So to answer your question...I have no idea what will happen.

The new contract is not supposed to be concessionary. We'll see.
