Skywest info needed

Need some basic info on SkyWest please....

Are they only hiring in to the Brasilia at the moment?

Also, what is the most likely new hire base and how long are captain upgrades expected to be on the CRJ and Brasilia?

Thanks!

Great, another guy looking for a quick upgrade....

Only hiring into the Brasilia, yes. FAT is junior. Upgrades are looking like 3-4 years on the Brasilia, longer on the CRJ.

what is the likelyhood of the RJ for ORD?

I couldn't care about the a/c, as for upgrade, when it happens it happens. Just the pay is a big factor (2nd yr) and commute from NYC. ORD/IAH/DEN, with how many SKW is gonna hire, will they ALL be to the BRO or some RJ?

You came to that conclusion about him how??

Get over it, go to the bro, I commute to fat from mco and on the bro for 3 years. The way things are going you will hold a line out of training vs being on "perma reserve" in the crj. Plus if the hiring continues you could go to the crj in a year after the seat lock. There are rumors of hiring to the jet soon but as you wait you are losing seniority. Pay is the same on the bro vs crj first year, and knew of guys that didn't want to go to the bro back in 08 when I got hired that they never got a class, since all they wanted was the rj.

How long do you have to be in the emb or the crj to hold SFO or LAX?

Thanks.

BHopper88 01-29-2011 03:12 PM

SFO is just a reserve base of 2-4 FOs, lax is possible out of training now that all of us wanting to go to the jet are getting awards. Fat is the most junior and the largest of all the bases with the best chance to be a line holder. Plus the commute isn't too ba to fat. Just beware of the FOG

Oh it would have to get much, much, much worse to even be in the same league with mesa. Don't kid yourself.
