Default Skywest Reserve Days Off

Would anyone be able to post what blocks of days off they're getting as a new hire reserve at Skywest. Ex. 4 on 2, 5 on 3 off etc and if they have any control of it through PBS. Not sure if brand new reserve bubba can even commute home if u live half way across country.

Appreciate the low down. It will help out.

Cheers!

I think it's 5/2 and 5/3 mostly. They are hard schedules, not PBS so you can't mix and match reserve blocks, you just bid for the schedules they build.

If our latest compensation proposal gets passed, that will guarantee reserves an extra day off per month (11 up from 10, approximately).

Thanks. 5 and 2 is not that great. 5 and 3 is doable.

Got 5 on, 2 off for the entire month. Has been a mix of 5 on, 2 off, 4 on, 3 off in previous months. Don't know if this is consistent across domiciles.

As stated above, reserve lines are pre-built (no PBS input).

In a 30 day bid period you get 10 days off. In a 31 day bid period you get 11 days off. As stated above if you new pay proposal goes through those days will change to 11 days off in a 30 day month and 12 in a 31 day month.

As far as the blocks go there are different kinds of blocks to bid on in any combination. There can be some weeks with 2 days off following 4 or 5 days of reserve or some weeks with 3 days off following 4 or 5 days of reserve. There is also usually somewhere in the reserve bid package 1 week during the month with a bunch of days off in a row (4-6 days) but then you may only get 2 or even 1 day off during the other weeks.

But as I'm sure you know, Skywest has some that would really help you out as well.

When is the new agreement supposed to be in place?
