Amen! I will admit work rules make or break CDOs, but if you live in base (or have a contract that provides day rooms for CDO line holders) and make sure you get plenty of rest during the day time, there is absolutely nothing wrong with a CDO and I'd actually prefer them.

The problem arises with pilots who refuse or are unable to sleep during the day time or when scheduling changes a morning or afternoon reserve to CDO reserve last minute. Thankfully we have rules now preventing this.

Either way, your post is not constructive and has nothing to do with "Colgan life". It also appears that you do not work, have not worked and do not plan to work for Colgan. Try to keep on topic and keep your comments constructive.
just read the first page jar-head...your commenting on something you have no idea about, or did you just jump in where it suits you and use your monocular night vision to filter out the crap?

Very defensive this morning are we?

It is not common to reply to something that happened 12 pages and over 400 posts ago without quoting it. You are right, I profusely appolgise.

Yep, and they (and I did) fly them five nights in a row. I admit, a decade plus later, four is plenty for me.

If you want to see something dangerous, give me a 24 hour four day with all oh-dark-thirty show times. I haven't seen the noon day sun since 2007.

That's a hell of a way to treat a man who serves our country. Like mentioned..no contribution to the thread whatsoever. Would you like to go back to flying pistons from your almighty jungle jet? Didn't think so. There's the door (back button).

Do they hire gentlemen of your distinguished attitude or is it something they teach you in training?

Thank you XJT for your service to this country and protecting my freedoms from behind your keyboard all day....
Thanks to USMC you are allowed to talk online in a professional pilot forum, like a 14 year old surfer...

You know XJT, knocking a guy for serving his country is just bad form. I suggest you keep such thoughts to yourself and your limousine liberal friends, so you don't sound like a whiny, silver spoon sucking, uber-entitled, prima dona. Have a nice day.

And Sargent, thanks for your service. When ever you boys were around, I was sure our ships were well guarded. Fair weather and following seas.
