Wouldn't that forum be rendered meaningless in a few months when the lists are merged and the Colgan name ceases to exist?

Actually, last I heard (a few weeks ago) is that the Colgan name is gonna be staying.

I dont have an official source (besides the check airman who told me)

The certificate will continue and the name of the airline will be changed to Mesaba.

Check airmen say lots of things. Including:

- IAH will be closing in 6 months
- We will pickup Q400 flying for Delta
- There will be a DEN base
- There will be a ORD base

I'll take that bet. Maybe not likely but I would not say there is only a 1% chance.

Delta doesn't do turboprops... that's why they're tossing out the saabs... that's why the sign at ATL says "Fly Delta JETS"

High fuel prices can change a lot of things including Delta's mind. I wouldn't rule it out completely.

As I understood the email/conference call: Instead of hauling all of Colgan's Qs and Saabs over to Mesaba's certificate, they're now waiting until Delta throws Mesaba's Saabs in the garbage sometime next year, at which time they'll rename the Colgan certificate to Mesaba. That's what I took it to mean, at least.

Correct, and the fact that the Minneapolis FSDO has a stick up their arse, which is nothing new.
