Default CRJ-200 Crewbag

Just got hired into a CRJ200 as my first airline job. Did some searching on the forumns already but unable to find anything. Looking for some input from RJ drivers.

What crew bag would you recommend for the CRJ-200? And where should I get it from?

Thanks a lot!

Thanks for the responses so far. Sorry I'm so new but I've noticed that most pilots have their flightbags(i would assume) on top of their crewbag. Any advice here guys and gals?

On top would probably be a lunchbox you're seeing, because we can't afford to eat out LoL. If what you're thinking is the bag lugged along by J-hook, that would be correct, and assuming your airline does not have Airside Jepps or some electronic format, you'll need one of those as well.

The above posts are right on for the bag. They will last long enough and when the zippers break which they will, you can get a loaner bag while yours is being repaired. They are not cheap but you will get a lot of use out of it. They should come with a j-hook for your flight case. You might look on APC somewhere and find one used for sale. Lots of guys got out of the airlines and are not coming back.

If you are asking about a flight bag and you are going to Pinnacle/Mesaba/Colgan I'd get a cheap one. I guess we are actually getting iPads. So you wont be using it too long. (iPad non-believers chime in now)

Go with the Luggage Works. Yes is costs more up front, but it will last a long time. I got mine in 2006 and it is still kicking great. I would have gone through two Travel Pros by now. Do not get the bigest bag they make. It will not fit well. Personally, I got the one for the 737 and it fits great with lots of room inside.

Congrats on the new job!!!!!!!!!!

Get ready to WORK (but you will love it).

I would say 80 percent of all airline pilots have a luggage works roller board. It is a commercial bag that can take a beating and be repaired. It is very heavy though and about $350 (on sale for $299 at some places). As for a flight case, get whatever you want. Scott makes an expensive one that will last 10+ years, but you probably will not need one that long. I've had mine over 5 years and its fine, but my airline is getting rid of flight cases. I'm in the middle of my last trip with it.
