How about Soul Jet? Or better yet, AirSoul? (say it fast)

Very true. I don't really understand why they are so concerned with that. Delta, Northwest, Southwest, Alaska...all powerhouses with a small, localized, regional connotation. We don't need to go changing to a complete new name to convey a new "vision" for the company. If they are so worried about it, just keep ExpressJet and move on.

Reading all the comments on ourASA, I see a lot of people saying Atlantic
Express or Jet. Take a look at the combined route map people! We are all over the country now and I don't want a name that has some gerographic name in it.

All those names were conjured up Pre-Deregulation before they were allowed to fly somewhere else. Hence the term "Legacy."

Why not? It's not like you get to pick where you fly now. Suppose you got a name like "SuperConGloboEverywhere Airline," and then Delta or United decided to pull a Comair on you. Now you're a true regional player with a ridiculous non geographic name.

Names mean nothing. The passengers could care less what you're called. They all think it's Delta or United anyhow. I bet those Southwest pilots are really embarrassed to be flying all over the country with some dumb geographically linked name.

How about we just rename all the connection carriers "Sub-contractor A, B, C, etc." It would make identifying them a lot easier.

I think SkyEast or EastSky is the easiest way to go here fellers

Something old school: Transcontinental Express

Exactly my point. None of those airlines went nuts trying to change the name because they were permitted to fly beyond their associated regions. They retained their established names. Why should we change, then?

Whatever the new name is, they're going to paint it in 2" letters under the nose and you'll need to squint to see it from the jetbridge. At least on the Delta side.
