Stick it to the man!

Log10 charging everyone full price for the new versions again? So if I bought 2 months ago I now have to pay another nearly $300 for the updates? Seems like people are complaining about having to pay nearly $300/year for Log10??? Doesn't seem like a good deal to me!

If you were to start out with Logbook Pro and decided to get an iPad and switch to LogTen, would LogTen import the Logbook Pro data?

Yes, just export Logbook Pro to CSV and import into LogTen.

Oh my.... you don't get it. If you bought Microsoft Windows XP, would you just expect to get a free upgrade to Windows 7?

If you bought LogTen Pro within the last few months, you get a free upgrade to the new version when it comes out. Before that deadline, you have to pay to upgrade, but it isn't at the full price. Upgrade pricing is separate and much less (I think 50% off or something like that) than buying it all over again.

Any upgrades within the version number you have are free. It's just like any other software you would buy. At least Coradine doesn't nickel and dime you like Logbook Pro does to do simple tasks like schedule importing that should be free.

Logbook pro sucks. They are greedy. I hope they tank. Im also looking to switch to log 10.

Does Log10 for the iPad have a schedule importer feature?

I wish I had seen this thread or done more research. I purchased Logbook Pro and misread the fine print that it must run on a Windows OS. My error 100% for not reading the fine print. Now I have the program running on my Mac via Virtual Machine and Windows 7 which wound up being a lot more costly & cumbersome than I had planned.

LogTen is half price right now through the end of the year. Excellent deal!

Yup... Just bought both the Mac and iPhone versions... 100 bucks for both. It's taking some time to get used to. But overall not too bad.
