log10 or pro
 

Im looking to get logbook 10 or logbook pro. I am at a 121 airline. I'm also a terrible record keeper and I need to enter in all my flying so I know it's accurate.
Does anyone recommend one or the other? Maybe someone out there has tried them both... I use the iPhone.

The features I like that I've heard about:
Auto sync when you turn your phone on. Pro
Keeping track of 121 duty times
One time fee. 10 I think
Auto day/night to/lnd
Printing entire log
Importing your schedule (it would have to accept a PDF version or something as my airline is based in the 1960s and we have no electronic scheduling available to use)

I don't have mac but that isn't that big a deal I could convert something I already have to Mac easy. Are the interfaces pretty much the same (pro/10)? One easier to use than the other?

Log Ten Pro is light years beyond Logbook Pro. With that said, there are always pluses and minuses to anything you buy. I use Log Ten Pro. Both on the iPhone and my Mac. It's more user friendly and has better features than Logbook Pro. Please keep in my mind that this is totally my opinion. I've used both. The only thing you need to make sure with logten pro is that you back up your phone on iTunes everyday. Not having a Mac to sync up your mobile to your comp could put yourself into trouble one day. If you lose your phone or it takes a dump on you then you've just lost all your times.

My advice is to go to coradine's website look at all the features and compare it to logbook pro. I do know that if you have questions or a problem with LogTen it's easy to email the creators and they'll get back to you ASAP, even call you or actually gmail talk to you and access your computer to fix the problem if you have a Mac. Log Ten. I switched from Logbook Pro a few months back and there is no comparison.

You might be able to. I haven't tried. If you're using the iPhone you don't need to worry about Mac Os. Just remember to sync your phone with iTunes to back it up, unless iCloud will work.

OK so I have a question. If I have logten for iphone, do I have to re-buy the version for ipad when I get one or do I get it for free since I bought it on iphone?

I've liked using LogTen Pro on my home computer & macbook, plus iPhone (I switched after losing some data on a free Windows logbook a couple of years ago--you get what you pay for). Yes, you have to buy each version you use on separate platforms--but I was able to install the computer version on my older Mac, and now my macbook laptop. You do NOT have to upgrade to keep using their products, but you will lose iCloud backup on the next version. If you purchase their product now, it's a free upgrade when they release. There are more comments in the other thread on APC, and on their website, describing how they cannot issue a "bundled" version, as Apple restricts that. I will wait and see on the upgrade, since I'll have two/three options for a discounted upgrade over three months.

Was wondering the same thing myself, from what their website was advertising:
iPhone $50.00
iPad $80.00
MAC $150.00

So basically to run the program on all three platforms it would cost about $280.00. Does that sound about right? Or do they offer discounts for the package?
