83 huh? Good joke

There won't be any F word. Having flown with a scheduling committee member recently I was informed they almost cancelled FO and CA vacations for December... Theres no overstaffing going on

a vacancy can be put out tomorrow if enough people leave. never say never.

Now thats even better then a furlough... My goodness.

On a side note... FOs are being bought off trips right now because new hires cant get their 100hrs. One Resv FO in I think JFK has flown 15hrs since OE (2 months ago) so I dont think they are cxling VA's either... Resv's are not flying.

The training department is "supposed" to push 156 pilots through between now and the end of February - so they say. (I don't know if that means total pilots or just new hires; I don't see how they can be all new hires...probably not even total...)

Pinnacle Airlines Inc is not hiring pilots. Go to flypinnacle.com, airline apps, and you will see we are not. You could ask your base manager too.

Oh great! More 70+ seater aircraft at the regionals, just in time for us to enjoy another 10 years at the regionals while mainline outsources its flying! The mentality of many regional pilots here is just sickening. Only an idiot would celebrate the growth of more Qs at regionals. Unless you plan on fully retiring here at Pinnacle Corp, you shouldn't want a single Q at a regional. They belong at the majors, as with any other aircraft with more than 70 seats.

Dude... there hasn't been a prop at a major since like 1996.

Rumor control:

1). 2 Qs in YYZ getting ready for 9L (came from flybe)
2) IAD Ass-chief pulled from interviewing in MSP to get JM'd on an overnight tonight (kinda kills the hiring / overstaffed / f-word BS rumors, doesn't it?)
3). Anything else is speculation

That is all...

That doesn't change that q's at regionals are bad for mainline. Ask Urself where uniteds 737-300 and 500s went? As they were getting q's for Colgan. Ask Urself where those mainline EWR to DCA and BOS routes went? Most to q's. I hope we never get another Q
