I'd try Alaska, Hawaiian, US Air, Allegiant, JetBlue, SWA, Spirit, Sun Country, Virgin America and Atlas for starters. Plus anybody else I wanted to work for, whether they're hiring or not. You never know.

Were you guys not offered voluntary furloughs?? I'm sure some of the guys don't mind 2-3 month break as long as they keep their benefits during the leave. So sorry to hear about the displacements. Hope it stays displacement and furlough remains at 20!! Flashback of '08! Took me 2.5yrs to get recalled. Horrible!

Sorry to hear the bad news.

Kalitta Air is hiring--20 this month. 10 Classic 747 FO's and 10 747-400 FO's. Just got our 7th -400. Hiring for the forseeable future. Mins: 5000TT and 2500 Jet time. Schedule: 17 on straight, 14 off straight. First year FO salary: $60,000+. Most Junior Captain: January 2011--On the Classic you're able to upgrade shortly after Initial. The -400 will take a few years. I upgraded to Captain on the -400 in less than 4 years on property. Most fun job I've ever had....

sounds like a great opportunity for some of our captains if they furlough out of seniority order.

I've been furloughed in my past..Eastern express back when there was an Eastern Airlines. Keep your chin up, don't let the BK ruin your attitude. I have a freind who just left Omni Air, it looks like they're hiring regional guys/girls. He was a Dash 8 capt. and went into the DC 10 right seat. Give it a shot!

Sorry to hear this guys. It truly sucks.

If I understand this right, 99 are being displaced and 20 are getting furloughed? What DOH does that go to?
