Sorry but the media is only speculating at this point. So far those 119. Pilots will only be displaced.

Why were they even at a job fair two weeks ago if they were suspending training and hiring? Airlines will never be challenged for title of worst run industry.

Prior to any CRJs, the EMB145s will be the last thing to be parked. After the ATRs, we'll lose EMB135s, then EMB140s. Then they'll give the EMB145s to another company to fly them for cheaper.

The effects of American Airlines’ bankruptcy are starting to unfold…
American Eagle (part of American Airlines and AMR) has told the Texas Workforce Commission that 119 pilots and 104 flight attendants are ‘likely’ to be laid off of their jobs by mid-February.
119 pilots + 104 flight attendants = 223 jobs lost. Misleading title if you only skim it.

At least they get a townhouse out of it. AA paid 195 Million for 30 year naming rights to the AmericanAirlines Center in Dallas.

If I were CEO and someone proposed spending close to a fifth of a billion on naming an arena, I'd kick their ass all the way to the unemployment line.

Not sure how much they paid for the naming rights of the American Airlines Arena in Miami either.
